Color scheme - black, gray w/white stripes. This is a nice set! There are six wheels on each side of the cars. Couplers and rollers on each car in good condition. The car shell is plastic (bakelite); wheels are metal.

No paint chipping or marks, sharp lettering and very little dust, as cars were stored in the boxes when not in use. This set is considered a "Baby Madison" set, as each car is slightly smaller (about 13 inches) than longer passenger sets. Note: there are 4 different passenger cars. Each have a distinct design/number: 16087 (Baggage Car); 16088 (Passenger Car -Licking River); 16089 (Dining Car - Rippling Stream); 16090 (Observation Car - Babbling Brook). The baggage car even has a rear terrace (see pic).

The three passenger cars have passenger silhouettes showing different activities (eating, sitting, standing) in each car, and the baggage car has doors. While all 4 cars illuminate, the lights flicker when in motion (original bulbs and wiring). Note: to access the inside of a car requires that you push in the "blank windows" on each side then lift off the roof. An additional box was used in packing to protect the original boxes.
