WALTHERS PROTO - Stock No. NEW YORK CENTRAL RAILROAD - EMD NW2 Diesel Locomotive - Road No. The Walthers Proto HO Scale EMD NW2 is based on the 1,145 switchers constructed between 1939 and 1949. The long-lived NW2 has operated side by side with steam locomotives as well as classic and modern diesels, so it'll be an ideal addition to your railroad.

The WalthersProto model is patterned after early production prototypes with Phase I, II, II, and IV hoods and details as appropriate for each road name. This model is equipped with a fully featured ESU LokSound 5 Sound and DCC for top of the line sound and DCC control.
