Lionel New York Central (NYC) Mohawk 6-8-6 Steam Locomotive & Tender
Lionel New York Central 4-8-2 Mohawk L-3 Steam Locomotive (#6-18009). Used condition, the steam engine is from the estate of my father-in-law and has been previously run. This is a large and heavy engine, made when Mike Wolf was making scale sized steam engines for Lionel. Runs only on O-42 or wider curves. This locomotive features die-cast metal construction on both the engine and the tender, smoking smoke stack (which may be dried up), operating headlight and firebox glow, Railsounds 1.0 (the original 1990s era digital sound system), pullmor motor, detailed coal load, 6 wheel die-cast trucks on tender, operating knuckle coupler on the tender, metal wheels, metal handrails, spoked drivers with metal rims, remote control forward and reverse, and authentic NYC markings. This engine has not been run in the past 6 or more years since the time when my father-in-law got sick or since ne passed away and it will need to be oiled and lubed before use. Box also shows wear with the end flap and flaps either missing, taped or about to fall off on one end of the box. Good luck and thanks for stopping by!
