Extremely clean, unblemished except for one tarnish spot on "room" side of car, missing step under loading door on "aisle" side. Not run or displayed out of original box. Stored in a climate controlled, smoke-free location.

Box has some shelf wear. Original foam packaging in excellent condition but subject to future deterioration. Grab irons, detail parts, and Champ Blue Ribbon Series NYC decals included.

Highly detailed trucks and underbody equipment, including lost-wax castings. Prototypes were built for New York Central in 1948; most converted to commuter lounge service and used until the Amtrak era. Please see photos for contents and condition.
