MTH RailKing New York Central 4-6-0 steam Loco and Tender, PS-2 For Parts Only

  

Here is a used MTH 4-6-0, New York Central steam locomotive, with a tender and with PS-2 sounds. The engine is in excellent condition, and it operated in forward and reverse, with sounds in the conventional AC and DCS modes, prior to a problem. I surmised that there had to be an issue with the tender. Perhaps a wire came loose, or perhaps an electrical short in the wire going from the tender to the engine.

It may be an easy fix for someone who knows about these things. I have tested the engine and tender again, and the engine moves forward on low AC voltage.

However, it only goes forward and with no proto sounds. This train came from an MTH starter kit, and that is why I have no box for it, but it will be securely packaged. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
