I bought the engine new in 2015, and I ran it sparely until 2019. It has since sat in its box in a climate-controlled room. I recently tested it for over an hour, and all the lights, sounds, features, and smoke unit work. The engine and tender have minimal but some wear in the paint, which I have found to be standard on all my MTH engines.

The only cosmetic issue I had was that the coal fell out of the tender over the years. I hot glued it back in, but it is not perfect. Photos of the noticeable blemishes are included.
