Two historic models for NYC/Penn Central/Conrail fans, in HO scale. New York Central (Lightning Stripe) paint scheme. DCC with lights and sound (Paragon 4 "Rolling Thunder"). Light and sound operation are prototypical for the EMD GP20. Superb Slow Speed Operation in DC and DCC.

Built-In capacitor pack to navigate imperfect track. Prime Mover sound intensity varies with load. Made by Broadway Limited Imports.

Conrail (CR) blue repaint dating from 1979+. Black roof on these models was a leftover from original Penn Central black paint. Interior lights and marker lights work in DCC or DC mode.

Made by Tangent Scale Models. Electro-Motive's GP20 proved to be largely a creature of the West, but the exception was a group of 15 low-nose GP20s acquired by the New York Central in 1961. NYC's GP20s were the only such units built without dynamic brakes. NYC's GP20s - in de-turbocharged form - would live to serve both Penn Central and Conrail.
